Regan Hall

Regan Hall, British cineaste grew up in Auckland, New Zealand. As a teenager, he is passionate about film and, after graduating from NZ’s best film school, went on work as a film editor in Wellington, where Peter Jackson’s Weta workshop was held.

In 2000, he moved to London and began making films for the advertising, fashion and music industries. His very elegant and glamorous universe made him famous with advertisements for clients such as Dolce and Gabbana, Revlon, Schwarzkopf and Swarovski.
Regan knows how to perfectly combine a sense of precise framing and a very neat aesthetic.

He worked on commercials for Burberry and Lancôme alongside fashion photographer Mario Testino and this opened the way to collaborate with big names such as Rihanna, Liv Tyler, Emma Watson, Sienna Miller and Halle Berry. In 2010, he received a great success and several awards for his short film 3 Hours.
The Iraq war drama told the true story of a mass shooting in Baghdad. Awarded at Doha Tribeca, this film has been presented in more than 40 international festivals.

He then directed his 1st featured film, Fast Girls, in 2012 Olympic-themed sports drama, a co-production between BFI and Studio canal, which received many warm critics on its release and launched the career of the actress Lily James. Regan Hall, just made his debut as a TV director with the American series “Ash vs Evil Dead” which started in March 2018.
